Jen , I also have BCBS of Georgia though, I wrote a 3 page letter of my weight loss history and what diets a tried over a 15 or more year period, and guess what? it worked!!! BCBS just wants to see a history of overweight , and attempts to lose it. Good luck, Jennifer

Hey Everyone! I decided after reading my pre-op packet that i should start a good pre-op diet. All Of my surgeons lap band pts. have to lose 10 lbs before surgery....im hoping i can do it ! Im gonna try real hard! I started this morning a new somewhat liquid diet. Isopure Dutch chocolate shakes for moring and lunch , and will do chicken and veggies for dinner. Anyone else try this approach? Did it work for you? Thanks for your imput, Jennifer

Buy lots of rain ponchos for Disney. We are in our Rainy season in florida. We went to Disney memorial day weekend...loads of fun! have a great trip.

I can understand paying the Dr upfront but most hospitals bill the insurance first then bill the pt after.

do you have a co insurance as well? I have a deductable too. We have met our deductable for the year but also have a max out of pocket of 3000 individual. So if the 10% is high i could have to pay 1500 or more for surgery.

Patty, what you fail to realize is....Born again is a term . Many other "faiths" accept Jesus as their savior, but don't use the term Born again. When you have a relationship with the lord the term Born again is irrelevant. Making enemies on a board, isn't helping the cause. Just show love towards others and act christian like without condemning, after all , thats what Jesus would want from you.

First off im Methodist , not that it matters on a lapband site. I did attend a Born again church for over 3 years and loved it. I do not think religious background is too important on a Lapband site . Are you simply looking to bash people? what is the end goal? aren't we here to lose weight and be supportive of one another? why does being born again make a difference in weight loss?
