  1. Hi Everyone, I'm new here, so bear with me. I live in Valparaiso, IN. I had my surgery in Merrillville, IN by Dr. Paul Stanish. My surgery date was 5/25/06 and I've lost 41# to date. The hospital has a monthly support group, but none of his lap band patients go, only the gastric by-pass patients. They made me feel so bad because they lose weight like crazy, it just melts off, and I'm struggling to lose 41 measely pounds. So I haven't been back to a meeting. It seems that I have good days and bad ones. Does anyone else? Some days I so desperately want to eat everything in site that I overeat and then throw up. Then some days I graze all day long. Then some days I do great. I have been exercizing 5 days a week. I had hoped my band was going to be a miracle cure, not just a tool:phanvan ! Help Me!
