  3. Hi nelliebeans 64, I just read your reply. I am lucky enough to have the support of my co-workers, my boss just had Gastric-Bypass 6 weeks ago. But I have a lot of friends who are tiny and constantly talk about how big they are and how horrible they look, because they have a tiny little roll on their stomach. My surgery is on July 1, and I am only telling people I trust not to put me down for it. They know how much I have struggled to loose weight, only to turn around and gain it all back and more...I hope that the band will help me to loose and keep it off. Good luck on your journey, Anja
  4. Hi, my name is Anja and I will have my surgery on July 1. It would be nice to hear from you, to see how your doing. My weight is 298 an Iam 5.8 tall, and I am trying to loose a little before surgery. It is not required by my surgeon, but I decided to do this on my own. I go for my nutritional appointment on June 21 and find out then how long I have to be on liquids before surgery. I really love this website, it helped me along the way not to be so scared of the surgery.Hope to talk to you later.
  5. Hi, Iam new here also. I am also military and am on Tricare prime. I went for a referral on a Friday, saw my surgeon the next week on Thursday and got approved 1 week later for the surgery. I will be banded on July 1, five weeks after going for a referral. It was pretty fast. Good luck for you, hoe it goes fast as well.
