hello everyone, new here. My daughter and I just got an approval from the insurance company and we are so excited! can this be for real? i still cant believe it. It was an approval through the phone so I'm still scared that they might change there minds. After the initial phone call i had to call again and get an authorization number, so can it be for real? I'm in shock still! OMG! am i dreaming? It doesn't seem for real yet. well I'm a mom of five and my oldest daughter is going to have the surgery too and on the same day. I wanted to do this with her and oh boy am I? same day and all. We are scheduled for 7/19/10. so scared and nervous and excited at the same time, so weird. we cant wait to get started. i have always been a big girl, i'm 273pds well thats how much it was back in april on my first doc. visit with a bmi of 40. im probably a little more now. my daughter has a 51bmi and i cant wait till she and I get this wait off of us. To start a brand new out look on food. im just excited! well my question is this, can the insurance company change an approval to a denial after telling me and giving me the surgery date over the phone? I certainly hope not, it would crush me, and thank you all for reading......
