I am in the consultation phase of my journey and am not even sure if my insurance will cover the costs of surgery yet, but I do have a question.... My surgeon stated that virtually everyone who has there gall bladder intact will end up having to have it removed... Do you all agree with this??? I am curious how many have had theirs removed post -op. Thank you!!!! :sad::grouphug::blink:

I finally went for my 1st consultation today, firm in my resove to have the lapband surgery done in the near future (hopefully), but the surgeon was so elequent in his opinions in favor of gastric bypass, that I am completely reeling.... I am afraid of gastric and not sure why. Just wondering what made most of you chose lapband over gastric... I am making a pros/cons list for both... Thank you!

Good luck! I will have my first consultation this Friday. I am so scared my insurance won't cover this.... Why did it take so long for your insurance to accept this surgery? Jw
