Noeline Maldonado

At 281 lbs., life was getting harder and harder. I developed osteoarthritis in my knees, chronic sleep apnea, and a host of other unwanted maladies.  I wasn't always overweight.  But after having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2001 and placed on psychotropic drugs that reaked havoc on my appetite, I ballooned up to almost 300 lbs.  Nothing was working to get the weight off and that's when I decided to have the Lap-Band procedure done in 2004.  Since then, I've lost a little over 114 lbs. and I feel great.  No more knee pain or sleep apnea or even shopping-phobia. :-)  I love my band!
