  1. Hi everyone:) First of all I am computor illiterate so please bare with me. I need to find someone who can set my mind at ease. I have done all the testing for the banding and after a year and a half of frustration and insurance problems, I am finally scheduled for surgery next wednesday Nov 8. I had to go for my final blood work and last visit today. My Dr. tried to talk me into the by-pass. He did that at the last visit also. I was never told before today that I have a small hiatal hernia. He said that it would be better to get the by-pass because of this hernia. I want the band because in my research I feel that it is so much safer. Please :help: I know that someone else must have had a hernia and had the band. Thanks, cinbob:confused:
