I am 3 weeks out and I am farting now more than ever . I do not have gas pain from surgery or anything but just good old fashioned farts ! All this farting at night is so not sexy especially infront of my boyfriend. Does this ever go away ?

That sucks .. my port is sideways so the surgeon has to do my fills directly. My 1st fill is on September 15th so I am hoping everything goes ok. Let us know how your revision goes.

I dont even have a fill yet ... only 3 weeks outta surgery. Band life is gonna be real interesting .

I was scarfing down my Breakfast of 1 slice of wheat bread 1 egg and 1 egg white 1 sausage and it was so yummy that I guess I didnt chew properly or something and STUCK . It was only there for about maybe 2-3 mins.. but it was the longest 2 minuites ever. I guess my band was reminding me it was there.

I dont know if i had a catheter.. but i did have TOM at the time and it was no issue. .... Good luck with surgery !

sigh ... what to do what to do . I tried to move up my appointment but there were no available openings. I am trying so hard to stick to my 3 - 1 cup meals a day but it is is getting incresingly harder. Any tips from those who have been through bandster hell ?

The Dr.'s office warned me about this but OMG ... it is so not cool. It is kinda hurtful when you are eating 1 cup or less of food at a time and you gain weight . Doesnt seem fair. When does this madness end and whenn does the scale start going in the opposite direction? HELP !

the 1st few day I totally could not tell the difference... but not that the gas is mostly gone.. I can distinctly feel hunger and gas and fullness. I was banded 7 days before you ... It will definitely come !

Day 11 and i am still there with you guys !

1st day of mushies and I swear I can feel the food in my belly and feel the band also. I just am wondering if i am losing my mind or if any of you have had this feeling?

totally normal... dr warned me bout it and suggested milk of mag. I took it and pooped and all is good in the world!...lol

Well I am super excited because I get to eat food for the 1st time in 24 days... but super scared because I do not want to eat to much and stretch my pouch or have a stuck episode. I dont go for my fill until Sept 16th because my port is a lil twisted and the surgeon wants to do the fill herself. That leaves me over a month of eating unfilled. I amk terrified of gaining weight during this period. Do/did you guys feel restricted even though you didnt have any restriction?

when oh when will it let up..... this gas pain is ridiculous. i have been walking everyday and still no relief. I go back to work on tuesday and i don't wanna feel like this.

i was banded on Monday and I took the Milk of Magnessia on thursday..... constipation sucks

Molly - Doesnt that sample menu that NYU gives u seem like a lot to ingest right now? or it just me? I am trying to choke down my propel right now. Everything just seems like a hassle. One day at a time i guess.

I was banded on Monday and I have been trying to adhere to the liquid diet BUT I can not take down every thing they have listed. It is super hard for me to finish a cup of soup. I cant tell if I am full or if its just the gas but i feel full. I havent been hungry and im just afraid of not being nourished. Have any of you all experienced this . Help!

Thanks yall. I"know" it will get better... but it feels like it is never gonna happen. Maybe I should take another lap around my house. lol

.... and I am at home still in my hospital gown. Besides being banded - Dr. Ren discovered and fixed a stomach hernia :thumbup: I can't find a comfortable place to lay or sleep or sit or stand. ughhhhh I am feeling very discouraged right now. Please tell me it gets better.

So, evidently this starvation liquid diet had kicked in my period over a week early. Sigh . I know I am being super paranoid - but this shouldnt be an issue for surgery, right?:cursing:

Thanks - I was just told that the 23 hours would keep me to the next morning and that if i needed more time that the hospital would need to get further approval then. I have BCBS also... Its just a bit frustrating all of the hoops that you have to go through !

So I was approved for my August 2nd surgery by Dr. Ren at NYU. Thing is it is just outpatient. I know that that buys me 23 hours and 29 mins in the hospital but I am scared that they are gonna cut me then kick me out. :tt2: Has anybody had any experience with outpatient surgery ?
