  1. :hungry: Well Hello from Kansas! I am on the road of being a newbee bandster! I have my surgical consult November 8th and I am sure that I probably won't get the surgery done before January...oh well...a great way to start the new year! I see that lap band has a slower weight loss...some of the pictures I have seen are older ones and I am wondering is there somewhere in this new forum that I should look for updated pictures for encouragement? I need to know that lap band is the right surgery to have...I have 175 pounds to get off and I know it won't be over night...but I am hoping for at least 100 pounds in a year...too optimistic? Look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know some of you! Vera/Salina Kansas
