My bariatric story
Hi I'm Mary. I'm getting ready to get the lapband. I should find out in 2 days when my surgery date is. If things go well with the finances I should be getting it done by the middle of may, otherwise I'll have to wait until July or later. i have struggled with my weight all my life and seem to always be searching for a solution. My mom was severely over weight and had numerous health issues including diabetes,heart and vascular diseases. She died when she was 57 years old. I am 43 now, 57 really isn't that far away. Although my only health issue right now is high blood pressure, i have decided I need to take control. I'm tired of being tired and worn out all the time. There are lots of things that I would like to do but my weight makes them too difficult or impossible. With the help of the lapband i hope to lose 115 pounds. With the weight loss I will be able to be more physically active. Well, this is the beginning of MY lapband journey!
