I was banded in Oct of 2008 I lived in Germany and my doctor was German and so there was a communication barrier. I would drive 2.5 hrs away for my fills and he would only alow me to go every few months for them. I never really found restriction until june 2009 when i got a fill that finally gave me some restriction and i was able to lose 30 pounds within a couple months but then i ended up in the hospital with a terrible infection and I began my journey to quit smoking well I relied on candy to help me through my withdraws and gained it all back. Now i am in the U.S. again and I have finally seen a American doctor 3 days ago so i am hoping that finally my band will start to work and i can rid this weight like everyone else. I never folled the lapband rules as i really didnt know them all and so i starting my journey now 1.5 yr later. I hope this time i will be sucessfull and get this ugly fat off once and for all!
