  1. Well, now I can report 100% mobility in and out of bed and no pain or soreness. I am healthy again, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BUT I am also eating scared cause the last thing I want is for this to happen again over some thing I put in my mouth. Anyway, life is good I still love my band and BTW during my ordeal recently I had total connection with my Dr's co-ordinators and support group so I was not alone and that helped alot.

  3. Well, I made it through yesterday without dying J (Praise the Lord) even though I thought I might. After work I went home and took 1-oz of liquid Tylenol (extra strength) and 2 GasX chewables and put a heat wrap on the sore area and also took the last of the Zinnet and also the little under the tongue pill and sipped water the rest of the night an prayed. During sleep I noticed that I could not get much comfort on my left side so of course I stayed off of it. This morning I was cautious moving and getting out of bed (little sore) then began the day with all the same from last night and I had a serving of beef broth. Today, I expect will also be a liquids day and as much water as I can get down through sippig just to be cautious. My movement is MUCH better this morning (not folded over or slow to walk) so even though I still have NO IDEA what caused this pain I think I am through it (again AMEN and Praise be to GOD). Looking forward to a better experience for the time to come.

  4. :angry Awwwwwwweeeeeee it HURTS and I cannot make it stop. Life has been reall good all the way till Saturday and forwhatever reason I now have pain in my left side almost under the rib cage. After reading all the threads of this thype of pain I am back on TOTAL liquids as of this moment and then I will decide if there is something more to this pain. I contacted my c0-ordinator and she tells me she will forard to Dr but I suspect there is nothing that could be done at this time according to the threads. No doubt I hate the pain but I may have caused it not staying on liquids exclussively so now I am and well see if the pain leaves. In the meantime - AAwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeee it hurts, and I want it to stop.
  5. Life is great and I could not have asked and received a better experience so far. Course I am a little concerned cause I have never eaten so little and lived, I am wondering if something is wrong. Wounds are all but healed and movement is probly back to around 98% without worrying am I going to hurt something if I do something wrong. Today is also the day that I have said goodbye to 300lbs and that has always been a personal goal and now its real, this morning I was 298, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Getting plently of water and nutrition from the shakes "high protien" and a wellness feeling of great. Can't wait "but I will" for the 100lbs lost, Life is all NEW again.

  6. Day 12 after surgery

I can't imagine this being any easier. I am all but free of any pain from the surgery and I can move at will. Course, the really big change is that I am no longer constantly hungry. I have added the shakes/SlimFast high protien with ice and mashed potatoes along with pudding and I feel like I can eat anything. BUT, I am waiting for the proper amount of time to go by and heal totally inside before I even try. Don't know what else I can say except my prayers and thank you.

  7. Day 9 after surgery

:clap2: I feel GREAT physically and mentally. I am not being restrained on getting in and out of bed or chairs, movement is just as normal as it ever was and thats a big plus. Thought I would have to pamper myself much longer. I now am eating mussie foods and I even had a 1 oz thing of cottage cheese with some pinnapple juice in it :scared:. I am still taking my Zinnet and little pills but I think thats more because I was told to . My wounds are all but healed and they are no longer covered, dry and healing great. Oh, did I mention. I LOVE my band HU (Hardware Upgrade) I do not mind being a borg. I believe that with a great Dr like Dr Lopez and the strength/power of prayer this has been better than a dentist vist cause I never could handle the dentist. I have a small elevation in the middle of my chest where the band is but I suspect that with a signafigant weight loss this will go down and set better inside my body. IN the meantime it really is not an issue. I ate supper with my family last night (mashed potatoes and gravy and that alone was a major accomplishment, course they laughed at my portion but I got full on 2 oz of potatoes and 3 oz of gravy and I was through. I even went to bed at 10pm cause I was excited about seeing tomorrow. Now, I just don't get why I haven't read or found in this forum more success stories like mine, I just hope I am not blowing my own horn too soon cause being the optimist I am also has a piece of me that is pesimistic waiting for the hammer to drop but I hope never does and I continue to have pure success.

  8. Week 1

:drum: Day 2 of my first week at work and I felt great all day.

    am
Began the day with Zinnep (I think this made a difference)
    2oz chicken broth
    sipping Gatorade till 11
    pm
    2oz chicken broth
    sipping gatorade till 5
    pm/home
    Zinnep
    6:30 2oz chicken broth

hiccups w/o a straw so now I am using a straw and see if they stop.

Later I consumed another apple juice through a straw and found good results, fewer hiccups AND I had 1 choc, sugar free popsicle. Yeahhhhhhh
    :clap2:
  9. My day started with about 2 oz coffee and a couple of oz of chicken broth then off to work. in the am I consumed 1 sm can of apple juice and 1 (3.25 oz jello). At lunch time I ate 3 to 4 oz chicken broth then after lunch till 5pm I consumed a 20oz Lemonade Gatorade (I think it was too much cause I began to feel a little bad). It is now almost time to go home and I am feeling some what weak and like I over did the day, what ever that means. In the course of this day I have walked my regular steps probly around 2 miles all together. Looking forward to leaving and getting home.:nervous
  10. 1st Night Home

I realy was feeling great no real pain and a new learning curve for sitting and laying in bed but all was good. I consumed a little water and between the hours of 6PM and 11PM 1 small can of apple juice along with 3 or 4 oz of beef broth and also 1 (3.25 oz) jello sugarfree then it was bedtime.:drum:
