It took my around three years to make the final decision to have lap band surgery. I tried dieting to no avail. Then came the diagnosis fo Type 2 diabeties. That was it. The whole process took a total of 2 months. I am so glad for my decision and I came through surgery with no problems. The pounds are coming off alright. I cant' wait for results six, nine, twelve months from now and even beyond. The staff at NYU were very professional and caring.
