  1. WAY TO GO!!! Congrats!! I'm taking my band off on Saturday (slippage) and my plan is to join WW next week. You encourage me!!! Corinne
  2. I don't want to scare you, BUT...I think that is the reason my band slipped - from over eating & stretching my pouch. They say you can't, but you actually can over eat. I stretched my pouch so much that the band slipped and it created this little "pocket" where old food & liquids are sitting (and rotting). My understanding is that frequent barfing is one of the symptoms of a slipped band. I haven't been able to keep solids down for two weeks now and am having my band removed this Saturday by the original surgeon. I wish you luck & I hope that everyone else who doesn't think they can damage their band, will take notice. I wish I would have heard this earlier:cry :cry :cry . Corinne 244/179/150 currently at 179 planning on joining WW next week.
  3. quick update - I'm having the band removed by my original surgeon in Mexico--$3500 includes everything!!
  4. So I just got back from the Drs. & he said it's totally ok if no foods, but liquids are vital. I'm trying a popsicle at the moment to see if it will stay down...I'm curious if anyone has suggestions for other easy to keep down liquids. thanks!!
  5. YIKES, I've been having problems for almost 2 weeks now - almost everything I eat comes back up (so for the most part I've stopped trying the last few days)...even water/liquids come back sometimes. My band has slipped & I'm going to have it taken out next week, but what do I do in the meantime??? My whole body hurts -- throat, pipes, stomach, upper & lower intestines. Even my kidneys are starting to hurt. I know I'm dehydrated, but last week when I went in to the ER they gave me one bag of fluid & sent me on my way. I think I have a sinus infection too - my whole head & jaw are in agony unless I take a sudaphed. Please help.:help: I am so miserable I don't know what to do...I'm wondering now if I'll make it to next week. Corinne
  6. I'm going through the exact same thing right now. Hoping to be un-banded in the next week. Can I ask how much it cost to have it removed? God bless, Corinne
  7. Hi all, I'm having serious complications with my band and am needing to have it removed. Anyone out there self pay that had to have it removed? How much (total) did it cost? I had my band installed in Mexico, but feel like I need to do this sooner than waiting to get to Mexico... Please help. Corinne
