  1. :rolleyes2:Your words were very nice and I for one agree whole heartedly. I too was banded in April and even though my children support me and my best friend, they have never had this battle of weight. I feel like they do not really understand my shame or the feelings that come with this. I really needed someone who has been where I am at and where I am going. Thank you also from me to all. I feel better knowing that I am not in this battle alone. :tongue2:
  2. Thanks to all for input and congrats to you all for your accomplishments in your weight loss journey. I checked out your Bandster profile BamBam and you must feel wonderful. Good luck to all, and I am in search of a support group in my area of Houston Texas. I really feel the need of some energetic and positive bandsters.:cursing: I was even looking for maybe a biggest loser workout group. I just want to stay positive. The only group I found in the area is one where they have all gained their weight back, how scary.
  3. I think that I will look for someone else because I have been really hungry and my body feels the same as it did before surgery now that I have healed. I am still making right choices for food, though I am only exercising three times a week. But I have gained two pounds this past week. Its kind of scary, actually. I do not want this to be all for nothing and it breaks my heart when I read of those that have gained all their weight back. I have already lost all this weight once and gained it back. I know this is not a magic cure and we have to do our part, but I thought it would make my part a little easier.
  4. I am having problems learning how to use this site. My doctor says he does not fill till you have lost at least 35 pounds. I flewto Michigan to have the surgery done because I paid cash for mine. This is just my follow up and fill doctor.
  5. Hello to all, I am six weeks out and I have no restriction and am hungry all thetime. I am however having a little nausea. Some feedback please. Also I am new at this and was wondering if there are any support groups in my area of Houston Texas.
  6. Hi everyone, I was banded on 4-22-2010. I actually flew to Detroit MI. to have my surgery because I was paying cash. My pre diet lasted two weeks and my starting weight was 252 pounds. Weight at surgery was 240 and weight today is 229, :tongue2:. I need support, because I feel kind of alone in this and am wondering if I am doing everything right. I live in Texas and have found a local doctor and he said I needed a support group. I was hoping someone knew if there was a support group in the Houston, or Alvin area.
