My weight has been an issue since the age of 8 years old.  At times I would shed all the excess weight and then inevitably put it back on.  The large weight gain that put me in the lap band surgically viable category occured about 12 years ago.  It was at this time that a period of extreme stress and personal distress had me packing on almost 70 lbs since then.  It was time.  Time to take charge again and time to get healthy again.  So here I am, post-operatively, determined not to lose this chance I've been given.  But already, I can tell it is not going to be a walk in the park.  I am bracing myself and praying very hard.
