  1. I'm 17 weeks, I have gained 3 lbs and do not plan to get my band unfilled. Sometimes it is tight but I make up the calories by drinking milk on those days.
  2. Just wanted to give an update. I didn't do an unfill at all. I'm now 16 wks. I gained 5 lbs in the first 9 weeks but then lost 2 over the last month. So I'm up a total of 3. I am thrilled and my doc was perfectly happy with that. She said she would rather see me gain too little than too much  I like the way she thinks. We went over my eating and she feels like I am eating enough and that the baby is getting what SHE needs (it's a girl!!) We decided that approx. 15 lbs would be a good number with most of it gained in the 3rd trimester. Oh, and almost no morning sickness but quite a bit of reflux, which has gotten better now. My band is tighter than usual but I'm still managing. Hope everyone else is doing good and I'm sure a few of you have delivered by now!!!! Would love an update!
  3. I toughed it out and I'm happy I did because now I'm 13 weeks and although it's still a little snug, the nausea if gone and I am really happy I have restriction because I am HUNGRY HUNGRY HUNGRY!! I know I would have gained 40lbs by now instead of 4!!!
  4. I'm eight weeks and I just noticing that my band seems a little tighter this week. I didn't notice a difference at all in the beginning. Have you tested???
  5. I happen to have a strong opinion on this!! I say get the band first for sure! I got my band approx. 16 months ago in anticipation of having a baby. No way was I going to go into a pregnancy at 235lbs!! So I got the band, lost 52 lbs and now I'm 8 wks pregnant and happy that I have this great tool to keep me from gaining so much weight that I know I would have gained otherwise! From my personal opinion, I think you should be willing to wait at least a year before getting pregnant, though I don't think it's required. Congrats on both the future band and future baby!!
  6. Well, I got my positive!!!! I'm due Dec. 5th....5wks 3 days!! I"m so excited!! No morning sickness yet, keeping my fingers crossed!!
  7. sorry, I missed the poll option on the first post, so here goes......
  8. Hi! I am just curious to ask two questions: 1. Did you get an unfill before/during your pregnancy and 2. How much weight did you gain? I am currently trying (in the two week wait) and just curious. I was banded in Nov. 08 and have lost 51 lbs. My BMI is now 28. I am just trying to see what to expect. I am currently not planning to get an unfill (keeping my finger crossed there are no problems). Thanks a lot, Ladies!!
