  1. I'm on day 7 of 19 days of protien shake diet. I'm starving!!! I have to have two meals as protien shakes and one meal with 4 oz. of protein and green veggies, and one cup of fruit a day. It is not enough, let me tell ya! I started on March 12th and the surgery is April 1st. I am so hungry it's not funny. Many, many times during the day I wonder if it's worth it. Yet, I am plugging along. My bmi was 47 so I guess that's why I had to do the liquid diet so long. I wish I had you guy's doctors! LOL
  2. I told everyone at work so that they would know what was going on. I needed their support in this journey. Of course my husband. I reluctantly told my sister because I didnt want to hear her mouth. Other than that, it's my business. I guess when the weight starts coming off I will be proud to say that I was banded. I am still on the pre-op liquid diet. My surgery is scheduled for 4-1-10. Looking forward to it.
  3. I guess I was lucky. I requested information mid Feb 2010, went to seminar 2-27, had initial consultation, phone psych eval, dr. visit 3-16 to meet the surgeon, and I am scheduled for surgery 4-1-10. Must be fat enough to make them think Im gonna cost them money if they don't do the surgery. I tend to think that it has been so easy because it is the path that God needs me to take so I can be around for my daughters. One is 10 and one is 8. Just keep trying. It will be worth it, I'm sure. Good luck.
  4. We will have to stick together. Are you scared? My heaviest was 337 last September. So yesterday was 306. I am very excited about the surgery but a little scared too. Are you scared or just ready to go? Thanks for the friend request. Doing this together is going to make it much easier.
  5. :rolleyes:I will be having the surgery on April 1st. I started the pre-op diet last Friday, March 12th.(My daughter's 10th b-day) No cake for me! I have two protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and 4oz. of meat and green veggies and one cup of fruit for supper. Lots and lots of water and Crystal Light. I'm HUNGRY! I have to keep telling myself that it is worth it. But at the same time I am a little sad that I am losing my "old life" and getting to eat whatever I want. But, it has to be worth it. I do not remember a time when I was thin but they say it feels pretty good. It better be GREAT to beat an all you can eat Chinese buffet. The emotions are crazy. I am scared, sad, excited and anxious. Sometimes I think I don't wanna do it. Other times I am just ready to get it done. I want to feel full again. lol! By the way, since Friday the 12th I have gone from 320.5 to 306. So just starve and you can get those 10 pounds gone. LOL
