  1. Well I finally got a email from the scheduler at the surgeons office, letting me know that she finally submitted all the paperwork to the insurance. She says usually BCBS of TX takes 48-72 hours to approve/deny. I'll keep everyone posted! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
  2. Thanks a bunch! That link was great.
  3. Thanks for the reply's everyone, it really helps to hear someone else's point of view and experiences. Well I'm done with all my prerequirements, I'm just waiting on my surgeons office to send the paperwork to my insurance for approval and their taking forever LOL. Someone needs to light a fire under their butt I guess. Does anyone have any experience with BCBS of TX and if so how long does it usually take to get approved? Also I like the little weight loss tickers on ya'lls comments, how do you get it to post on every comment though? Do you have to add the posting code everytime you write a reply?
  4. So I am going through the approval process right now with my insurance company for the lapband surgery, and I haven't told many people at all..is that strange? The only people that know is my husband and a couple close friends. My husband keeps asking me why I don't want to tell anyone that I am having this surgery, and it's hard to explain why. I guess I'm just fearful to hear people's negativity. I just wanted to see if others feel this same way?
  5. Hi everyone! My name is Chantal. I have been wanting the lapband for several months now. I have a two year old that I wanna be around for. I have completed all of my insurance requirements, and am now waiting for the word if I'm approved or not. Has anyone else had approval through BCBS of Texas. And if so how long did it take to get approved? I hope to get to know some of yall, it's neat they have forums like this to support people.
  6. Also does anyone know if a person could check progress on bcbs website or something?
  7. Hi everybody, I'm new on here and I have some questions. I have BCBS of Texas. My surgeons office has submitted all requirements and paperwork to the insurance company. Has anyone on here dealt with BCBS of Texas and if so, how long did it take to get your approval/denial? I am getting so anxious...LOL:rolleyes2:
