My name is Beth, I'm 30 years old and I'm a mom of two.  I've always been a "big girl", I'm tall, I have a large frame and I'm comfortable with that.  During high school I was always very active and I was quite muscular from playing sports.  Like a lot of women I put on a few pounds in my early twenties, and the got pregnant when I was 22.  Now, after two pregnancies and a series of failed diet attempts, I'm quite overweight.  I have PCOS and carry most of my weight in the midsection, which I know puts me at risk for heart problems.  I weigh 250 pounds today and although I eat what I consider to be a healthy diet, my weight just keeps climbing.  Today I filled out paperwork to be seen for an initial evaluation.  I hope to have a lap-band fitted over the summer.
