  1. count me in too. I am struggling and need some motivation!! Perfect timing:-)
  2. Yes I do feel this way also! I have gone out with my friends and had only water with lemon. I told them that I would be the designated driver. It was not much fun but it was good to get out of the house and be with friends again. I was banded May 10th and had my first glass of wine last week(with permission from my dietician). I totally enjoyed it!!
  3. When I saw my dietician yesterday, who also had WLS, I asked her about not drinking soda. She says she has one everyday. She keeps one at her desk and sips it throughout the day. She told me that I can have anything I want now but to keep it in moderation.
  4. I went in today for my first fill and had a meeting with the dietician. She suggested that I eat 3 meals and 2 protein snacks per day. For the snacks she said it should be either meat, dairy, egg, nuts(only one serving a day) or a protein bar. Today, I am only permitted clear liquids, tomorrow puree then soft and then the diet plan the dietician suggested. I can't wait to get started!!!!
  5. I was banded May 10th. The first few weeks were great and I felt no hunger. Now is another story, I am hungry all the time. I had lost 18 lbs but have since gained 1 lb back. I went a little crazy with ice cream one day:frown:. Anyway, I am back on track and cannot wait for my first fill on June 14th!! I am definintely looking forward to feeling restriction again. Good Luck to all!!
  6. I go for my first fill on June 14th and can eat anything soft that I want. I did do very well for the first 3 weeks after surgery. I followed the diet and felt full after eating 3/4 cup of food. Now I feel that I'm falling back into my old eating habits and I am very anxious to have the fill done and hopefully feel some restriction again!!
  7. It does depend on the surgeon. I had to go on the medifast liquid diet for one week before surgery. The diet wasn't too bad and I did lose 10 lbs. on the diet. Good Luck!!!
  8. I hope I have as good as an experience with Dr. Curry and his staff as you have Sweetbean. Do you attend any of the support groups? Sheila
  9. I can't wait till I can go through my closet and actually fit into anything that is hanging in there. I think the only clothes that I wear now are t-shirts and stretchy work out pants. I have really let myself go. I'm set up to see Dr. Curry and get my psych evaluation tomorrow and to finally set a date for surgery!! I can't wait!!:scared2:
