  1. I'm in the Cincy area and wanted to say hello! Dr. Curry banded me in February 2007. I unfortunately just recently was able to start really utilizing my band because I decided to have two babies! : ) Would love to have a buddy in the area to help me out too, so feel free to keep in touch! Take care, Kristi
  2. Hi Gingerjane! Glad to hear about your upcoming date - very exciting! Thank you for the nutrition reminders. That's the kind of information I need. I do not have a nutritionist, but my mother in law is a dietician and is also scheduled for the band this month, so she is my support right now. I too am a surgical patient of Dr. Curry's, however, due to insurance changes, I now see Dr. George Kerlakian for my fills. I would love to have a local band buddy, so please keep in touch!
  3. Hello all - my name is Kristi, I'm 33 and was banded in February of 2007. My starting weight was 245. About the time I dropped between twenty and thirty lbs, I found out I was pregnant with my first child. He was born in January of 2008. After he was born, I started to get back on track with my band. Had a few fills, started to lose the weight again, and then, guess what??? Yep, pregnant with child #2! Talk about a roller coaster ride!!! My second son was born in November of 2009. Sooo, this week I'm starting fresh (again). I've had my first fill and am DETERMINED to make it work this time (minus any children for a while)!!! The problem I'm having at this point is that it has been three years since I had my surgery and I can't remember a whole lot about what I am suppose to do! At this point, any advice or support I can get is much appreciated! I'm looking forward to this journey and look forward to taking all of you along with me!
