  1. Hi all, I'm a new bandster. I'm only 8 days post op and I ate 4 oz of salad today without asking my doctor:crying:. I feel fine and had no trouble with it. I chewed it down to nothing and ate it really slow. Any thoughts? Does this seem ok? am I in trouble? Should I be expecting bad things to come? or can I continue eating salad as normal? Sally
  2. I also had EXTREMELY dry mouth and still do. I also had a REALLY bad "medicine/chemical" taste in my mouth that would not go away. I asked my doctor if it was normal and he said "the dry mouth-yes, the taste in your mouth-no." I asked him what I should do and he said "keep sipping fluids and just monitor the bad taste in your mouth" whatever that means??? he didn't seem too worried about it-so I'm not going to worry myself. I am 8 days post-op and my dry mouth is getting better, not gone yet, but better. It seemed to start getting better when I started eating soft foods.
