As many people who opt for the surgery route, I have lived a life of obesity. I was raised eating foods that were not good for me and told to clear my plate. I am now 28 years old and my health is deteriorating. I have a 2 yr old daughter and I want to be around to see her grow, see her get married and have children .. i want to be a part of that, but as of right now I do not see that happening and it saddens me. The first time I saw a nutritionist I was in Elementary school, I know how much juice I should drink, I know how much I should consume, I know how big a normal portion should be, I know how man calories make a pound, I know that I am killing myself with every bite I take, but after all these years of dieting, losing weight and gaining it back with interest I have gotten nowhere. I am here for help, I need it ... I want it, not just for myself, but for my family ... my daughter.  I have been looking into lapband for some time now, but this is the year that I am saying YES, its all or nothing from here on out ... and I am heading towards the road to the healthiness.
