  1. I loved the Gas X chewables in mint flavor. They're actually really tasty and worked pretty well. I recommend them to all post ops.
  2. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. Your babies are precious! My Bruno is one spoiled doggy. I'm sure yours are too! - Kelly

  3. I definitely needed a heating pad for the pain in my shoulders, liquid Tylenol for when I ran out of the Hydrocodone, and most importantly... chewable Gas X (in mint flavor). I was popping Gas X like crazy. I had a lot of gas pains in my stomach for about a week afterwards. Oh, and as far as showering, I would have loved to have had a loofah or brush on a stick sort of thing to wash myself so it didn't hurt so bad when I bent over. Hope that helps. Good luck.
  4. I was banded on March 19, 2010, in Austin by Dr. Ganta. I'm down about 30 pounds. -Kelly www.kellyandthebandit.blogspot.com
  5. Congrats! I am scheduled for the 19th. I just started my pre-op diet today. I'm right there with you!

Health Select PPO thru State of TX

I have spoken to someone at ERS and they said that the bill that recently passed only allowed ERS the ability to research the option of WLS and how cost effective it would be to add it to our health plan. They expect to have the results of the research by Sept. of this year, which means they would present it to legislature next time they meet (next year) and then they would decide. If they decide to pass it probably the earliest it would be offered is Sept. 2011. But with all of the recent budget cuts and the $148 million shortfall for State of Texas employees health insurance we are facing for FY 2011, I don't think it will get passed anytime soon, if at all. So, I'm going to bite the bullet and pay for it! I just don't think I can wait with all the uncertainty. Best of luck to you too!

I know that you posted this a long time ago, but I was wondering how it worked out. I am also a State of Texas employee.
