  1. Hi Everyone, I was banded in Monterrey Mexico about 7 weeks ago. due to my work schedule I will not be able to go back for my fill. Does anyone know of a doctor in Dallas that they would recommend? I've looked online, but I'm feeling overwhelmed with the options and don't know who to choose. I'm also getting frustrated because I've stopped losing weight and my appetite is coming back in full force. PLEASE HELP. I fear that if I don't get filled soon, that I will start to gain some of the weight back.:help:

San Antonio Texas - Dr Wright

Hi Redi, I had my surgery in Monterrey, Mexico by Dr. Roberto Rumbaut. He charges $10,000. He was a great doctor, but because of my work schedule, I have not been able to go back to him for my fills. Thanks to one of our fellow bandsters, I found Dr. Fred Maese in Dallas, TX. He is now charging $10,000 for the lapband surgery and he charges $200 for fills that he does with flouro. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Angela

Need fill doctor in Dallas, TX

Gayle, Thanks so much for all your help. Your directions were so helpful and you were right, Dr. Maese does zip you right through. I think it took longer for me to fill out the paperwork than it took him to do the fill. Thanks again for your advise and support. -Angela

    Going to Mexico

I was banded on Sept 21, 2006 in Monterrey Mexico by Dr. Roberto Rumbaut and I was really scared too. However, I had a really great experience. Dr. Rumbaut and his staff are very professional and the facilities are top notch. I was extremely surprised at how everything seemed to work like a well oiled machine. From the 1st e-mail to the time I came home, everything went so smoothly. They really give you the sense that they care about your success. Dr. Rumbaut even visits you in your hotel the day after you are released from the hospital and his staff members visit you the day after. I felt very well taken care of. I would recommend Dr. Rumbaut to anyone. The only snag I had in Mexico was my fault. I forgot to call my cell phone provider to make sure my phone would work in Mexico. It only takes about a days notice to work once you notify your provider. Whatever you choose, I wish you good luck and hope that you have as great as an experience as I did. -Angela
  6. Hi Everyone, I was banded on Sept. 21, 2006 in Monterrey Mexico by Dr. Roberto Rumbaut. Everything went so smoothly and a side from some slight discomfort, I have been doing great. In fact, I am concerned that I've felt so good that I've had a hard time following the post op diet. I was supposed to follow a strict liquid diet for 2 weeks post op, but I've been gradually moving into soft foods quicker than I was supposed to. Should I be worried? :phanvan I don't think I'm over doing it. I've not felt sick or had to vomit. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. -Angela Banded 9/212/06 Dr. Roberto Rumbaut Monterrey, Mexico Highest weight: 236 Pre-op weight: 230 Goal weight: 145
