I have been overweight for the past 30 years.  I finally decided to try the lap band.  The surgery was a success, I was the failure.  As long as I stuck to the plan things went exactly as they as they are suppose to.  My weight loss progressed until I hit a plateau.  However, after a long period at a standstill I quit trying.  Instead of racing back to my doctor's office and support team I tried doing it on my own, BIG MISTAKE!  Getting started again is harder than starting the first time.  If you have a good support group stick with them.  Work closely with your doctor and all those working with his or her office.  I've purchased a really good scale and work real hard at drinking water the way I should [ I hate drinking water].  I've found that searching for recipes that I can use is not the easiest thing to do but fixing food ahead of time and separating it into portions and packaging them to go helps me stick to the food plan.   My hectic schedule doesn't lend much time for meal prep but it is a must.  Right now I'm hunting for recipes that have a lot of flavor so I don't get bored with food and eat or drink the wrong things.  Right now I am a work in progress.  I am open to suggestions.
