I used Dr Virginia Mcgrath Weaver, St Francis Weight Loss center.... She is a real sweetheat, Her bedside mannor is wonderful. Her staff is quick to call you back when a problem. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER....... Laurie

Congrats... I was banded on 7-10-08.. I put on a pair of capri pants to day that were a little snug at the first of tsummer now they are lose in the waist you better bet I wore them to my first day back at work since my surgery. heeeheee Good luck and keep up the good work... Laurie -
I had to do a 2 week Protein diet. of course Water water it was 2 Protein shakes a day. all the raw veggies or steamed I wanted. 4 fruits a day. dinner was a protein meat with. veggies. I did a lot of chick fla salads with ff honey mustard dressing.. I lost 11 pounds in that 2 weeks..

I have Tricare Prime, I was covered 100% I'm in Tennessee and you know they sayling everything is slow here... :thumbup: I was banded 07-10-08. I started the process in Feb 08. Tricare said I had to be 100 pounds over weight with 2 comorbities but the Surgeon on the other hand made me diet for 3 months.. before they would submitt it to tricare. 1. PCOS 2. Pre diabetic due to the Pcos 3. Didn't know it till I had the sleep study, Hello sleep apena. 4. knee problems... Good luck everyone...... Lalindsey

Super-juices/drinks for the liquid diet

I'm drinking diet lipton green tea. I love it....... Sugar free kool aid Chicken broth decaf tea with splenda decaf coffee with splenda and a splash of skim milk. Sugare free popsciles are a life saver.. Laurie -

Have you done the 2 classes with Kat?
and all testing, It was about a month before I got tot see Dr Weaver they had to r/s me. so I had to wait 2 more weeks to see her, you get your surgery date the day you meet her.
It varies on her schd, when you get your date. But it took a month 1/2 andter I met with her before my surgery.
I promise you will love her.. I told her she was my new best friend, Because she will change my life forever.

Jan 31 2008 went to pcp Feb 11 2008 sent paper work to Weight Loss center Mar 2008 she rained on my parde told me I had to do a 3 month diet before they would even see me.... Apr 10 2008 met with dieticain she gave me a list of testing to get done. Wow sleep studies were a trip I had 3 of them.. April 22 2008 went to first nutrition class may 15 2008 went to 2nd class june 12 2008 finaly got to meet the surgeon I loved her form the minute I met her.Becasude I knew she ws fixing to change my life. 7-10-2008 Yeah I got banded...... 7-14-08 back in the hospital with serve pain.... for 2 days. 7-16-08 home from hospital... I'm having a longer time healing. ct scan perfect. said I now have a foregin object inside getting used to me and i'm getting used to it.... 07-17-08 I decied to join lapbandtalk.com -

Oh wow! I was banded last Thursday I'm having fear of the fill. I sure hope they use they fluroscopy on me as i'm a big chciken. Better luck next time....
