  1. I was given a choice...3 weeks of low-carb or liquid diet. I did the 3 weeks of low-carb and so glad I didn't have to do the liquid diet. But now that I am pre-op, I have to do the liqiud thing for 3 weeks. So far things are going pretty good. I am just glad I didn't do the liquid before this that would be 6 weeks of liquids....I don't think I could have taken that.
  2. If you go to the general lap-band sugery discussion, sticky has posted a ticker turorial with pictures...that is how I got mine. good luck.
  3. I had my surgery on 3/5/10 and today is the 12th day. I am just now starting to feel like my old self. It is still a little sore to touch were the port is located but other than that I feel good. I would say the first week after surgery I was really sore and tired.
  4. I just got banded today by Dr. Ortiz in Mexico. I could not be happier...his staff is wonderful and the place in very, very, very, clean.... I am so glad I decided to come here for it. The states wanted way to much money for the same procedure.
  5. I am also on the Pre-Op diet...but my doctor gave my three different plans to choose from. I choose to do the low-carb diet three weeks out before the surgery. I chose this becasue I new I couldn't do just liquids for a week. After reading everyone's post I am so glad I chose this route.
  6. I am getting my lap-band done on 5 March 2010. I want to be as prepaired as I can before it done.
