  1. I love all your Bests, and am sorry for all your worsts, bust still the Best Memories are worth it :nervous Now as we shedd more lb's, I'm sure that from now on, it will all be best memories .. Now, here is my new and Latest Best Memory: Having a small party at my house last week, along with my two beautiful sisters, and i was told by all who attended that i was the most beuatiful among them!!!!!!!!! I havent heard that in a loooooooooong time and it sure made my day :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: Keep them comning guys and gals, and post your most recent Bests :clap2: Regards, Dana :funscale:
  2. Hey there ... I was banded 9/11/2006 as well!! so we are officially Bandmates i guess I last saw my doctor on 10/3/2006 and he told me that my next fill should take place 4 weeks after the surgery. So, I'm scheduled for my first fill on 10/10/2006. In your case, some surgents i guess want to give enough time to get used to the band (5-6 weeks) before the first fill and they usually tell their patients when their first fill will approximately take place. Check with your surgent if your fill can be done sooner since others do get their fills after 4 weeks not 6 weeks post surgery. Join me in shedding the lb's fast so that we can reach or target weights together, BANDMATE :biggrin1: Regards, Dana :funscale:
  3. My Advice: Don't tell anyone if it makes you feel better I think we need to stop worrying about what others will say if they discover and start paying some attention to ourselves now!!!! Turst me, you will be watched 24/7 on what you eat and how does it feel after surgery and how many lbs you've lost. and Gosh if yu dont loose weight at a fast pace, all will question the usefullness of the band, and the questions and interigations on each and every step you take will go on and on and on!!! Our pshychological condition post surgery will very much effect yr progress and you must feel comfortable with yourself and the environment arround you to be able to shedd the weight. So start with feeling comfortable at your work and Dont tell yr employer. Say that you will be doing some check-ups and overall medical examiniation. This is what i did, and it worked with me PERFECTLY :biggrin1: Regards, Dana :funscale:
  4. Your best memory is AMAZING!! Way to go my friend :biggrin1: As for your worst memory, the band was NOT the easy way out!!! Going under the knife in surgery was a VERY DIFFICULT dicission and am sure it took you time to decide. Also, we have to be on diets for a LONG period of time, which means that we also diet like others and exercise to loose weight. Wishing you all the best in your Jurney to shedd the lbs. You Will Do It and shock all the people arround you when you reach yr target weight and Look AMAZING :clap2: Regards, Dana :funscale:
  5. GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Trust me this will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself ... it might not that easy in the begining but trust me it's worth it when you start shedding the lb's off and see how your transformation will take place .. Wishing you all the nest in your sergery and take this one small advice: start your diary at the day of the operation. It will help you keep all the feelings, thoughts, and experiences you got through so that you will document this Milestone of your life FOR EVER :grouphug: Take care ... Don't worry ... Be Happy .. and start you New life NOW:welldoneclap: Regards, Dana :funscale:

  10. Hey all .. I have an idea .. why dont we all share the best and worst memories after getting banded?? I'll start first with the worst memory ... :think Worst Memory: When I tried to have my first solid meal and felt that weird pain!! Suddenly i realized that i will not feel that fullness sensation that i used to enjoy, It's a paining sensation instead. That made me realize that my life has changed for good, not knowing that it will change for the best eventually when i start shedding more lb's Best Memory: When i started to get comments from all the people arround me that i've lost weigh! actually i haven't told any of my friends or second relatives about the operation. I wanted it to be a secret so that i don't jinx it :kiss Now what are your worst and best memories so far?? :biggrin1: Regards, Dana :funscale:

  17. Hey all... y name is Dana ( female, civil engineer from Kuwait) and I just got banded 2 weeks ago .. I have some queries to share with ya all Within two weeks, i have lost 22 lbs!! is this within the normal range or not? For the past couple of days and through my liquid diet, i have been experiencing some difficulties in swallowing ( as if popcorn bits are stuck in my throat). What's the reason for that and is it normal to have such condition because of the liquid diet? I would love to get replies from ya all to share with me my experience. I am counting on others who have gone through all that to accompany me in my journey. Best Regards, Dana :funscale:
