  1. I had the LAP-BAND® surgery July 24, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR. My surgeon is the head of Weight Loss Surgery, Dr. Emma Patterson. An excellent doctor. I have lost 45 lbs as of Jan. 10, 2010. I have reached a plateau and haven't lost anything for 4 weeks. I received a 1 year membership to the gym and 6 one hour sessions with a trainer. Started my training and so energized. Before that I wasn't getting enough excersize in. I go 3 times a week and have the trainer one of those days. I am starting a high protein drink for all tomorrow to maybe jumpstart my body. This is a great website. You can find anything you have a question on. Good luck to all the new banders and wish me luck. I have another 90 lbs to go. I can do it though.
