  1. I used a heating pad to help with the gas. The gas x may not do much because that only works with gas in the intestinal track. For the most part try moving around as much as you can and it will have to absorb into the body. Mine lasted about 4 days. Congratulations on your band!
  2. Knowing what I know now, there is no way I would get a fill like this. I have become so sensative to adjustments and swell everytime. But everyone is different and if it works for you then that's great.
  3. computer:rolleyes2:
  4. I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks on my pre-op diet. The diet was liquids only for the first 2 and last 2 days. The remaining 10 days was all liquids and one frozen meal (lean cuisine) than had 300 calories or less. The liquids I used included tomato soup and chicken broth.
  5. I tried Unjury and didn't really like it. I use nectars and nutrilite. Nurtilite can only be ordered on line and is an Amway product.
  6. I had this exact same problem. It is gas and will begin to go away, trust me I thought there was a problem with the hernia repair my doc did on me. I did ask my doc when I went to get the staples out and was told that the gas did cause irritation to the diaphragm. Can you feel a difference it you press on that area with your hand? I used a heating pad on the area and took chewable gas-ex. It did help a little but the only thing that you can really do is wait. I am a little over one week post-op and it has only just went away. I hope this helps put you at ease. Try not to drink from a straw, this can increase gas.
  7. I have been told to wait at least 6 weeks before consuming alcohol, but I was also told that about excercise. I'm not much of a drinker so it doesn't matter to me if I could or not. I do however want to begin an excercise routine.
  8. Thank you all for the welcome and well wishes.
  9. In one week I have lost 10 lbs. Is that average? Which are the best vitamins to take and what dosage? Try Nutrilite they are all natural What are the best supplements (calcium citrate or the other, etc) Nutrilite also has a chewable friut and veggie tablet Best chocolate protein drinks or powder without chalky taste? Nutrilite has a meal replacement that I love premixed liquid. Best tasting clear liquids protein drinks? Any lotions or tricks to prevent saggy skin? When will I feel normal again? Any good blogs or website that could be helpful now that I have the band? Any other good tip you think I should know? Sorry I am new to this, just banded Jan. 12. No I don't work for Nutrilite but that is what I used during my pre-op diet and really like it. They are not sold in stores so you have to order on-line, click on this link- Optimal Health True Beauty - Home Page. Thanks a lot for being so supportive J
  10. Hi all my name is Tina. I am from Michigan, Metro Detroit area and became a bandster yesterday, 1/12/10. My surgeon, who is wonderful is Dr. Gazayerli of Troy. Along with getting banded I had a hiatal hernia repaired, boy was that news to me. I arrived at the hospital around 10:30 am and the case in front of me took much longer due to some "issues" so I did not go in to the O.R. until 2:45 uugh boy was I ever frustrated! But all turned out well and here I am. I am sore and the gas pain has been living in my right shoulder since I got home last night, OUCH! But other that that I am doing good and looking forward to all of your support.
