  2. Thanks, Banded Girl! That's good to know. :-)
  3. Thanks for the suggestion, Pipedoc. Wow! 56 lbs. in 3 months. That's great! LaLaBreeze, I do feel that way a bit. I feel like I could eat more than I am, just not as much as I did before the band. The urge is still there to eat more. I definitely am looking forward to being able to switch to normal food or at least get off the pureed diet. But I'm learning to listen to my body's cues. I crave food, but it's easier now that I have the lapband. And I imagine once we start getting fills, it will be a lot easier.
  4. Hi, I've recently had my lapband surgery. From all the weight I have gained over the years, I have a ton of stretch marks. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to treat these? I'm looking for something a little more advanced than topical creams (unless someone has had experience with a great one). Topical creams seem to be more geared towards preventing stretch marks than in removing or minimizing ones that have already been there awhile. I'm wondering what kind of doctors deal with this or what kind of treatments are available that are more advanced than creams, like lasers or something. I've had trouble finding online some really good recommendations of treatment facilities or doctors that do this. Any suggestions?
  5. Vicky, you look great! Congratulations! I have a question, if you don't mind my asking. Did you have any problems with scars after your surgery? Did you do anything to minimize them?
  6. Hi, I'm Emily, and I had my lapband surgery on Dec. 29. I have had my first week follow up visit, but that's all. I'm anxious for my incisions to completely heal and hoping the scars aren't too bad. I'm also looking forward to being far enough past my surgery date that I can start getting fills. It's been a little over a week since my surgery, and I've lost roughly 11 pounds!! Very happy about that!
