So...I have been banded for 11 days now. Not so bad. I am having very few urges to cheat, but I am feeling pretty satified most of the time. Drinking protein shakes, as well as using liquid protien concentrate mixed in water, and plain ole water (yummy)!! Hanging in...:w00t: Like most people who post I am constantly thinking of what the future will bring only I want it to come much faster than it is. Trying not to let myself get to discouraged! I don't want to set unrealistic goals, but I think this is what is happening! Trying to remain positive!:tongue: I am trying to stay focused on lots and lots of PROTIEN. It sometimes seems hard when you look around the cafe at lunch time and see all the good food and worse when you can smell it before you reach your lunch time. I am trying to stay faithful and steadfast to myself and my dream, but I sometimes feel pretty weak. Thank You to all the Bandsters who post on this site that keep me encouraged and motivated.:eek:

I used gasx as well, but it seemed to help more to stand straight and to sit straight. I hurt more but seemed to move the gas. I at this point have no gas pain, but I know what you are talking about. It can be painful. If you are having a lot of shortness of breathe you may want to contact your doctor. That was never actually something they warned me about. I am going tomorrow to be checked for infection. Two of the incisions are getting red and looking a little irriated to me. So well see. The redness could be from were I worked today and my shirt rubbed, but I don't know. Other than that I feel 100% better. I am now 4 days post-op going on 5 and I feel like a different person. You will not believe how quickly you will recover. Hope it all goes well for you. Keep in touch!

Thank You and you have provided me with some encourgement. I guess because I am so sore and can't eat or drink anything without feeling stuffed I am discourgaged. Although I know in a week or so I will be happy too!

Had my surgery on Thursday...Feeling much better today than yesterday! Still sore, but off the pain meds which is good. Trying to stay hydrated, but seems like I can't drink enough. I feel full all the time! Any Advice??

I am very new at this and just actually learned how to find the comments people are leaving. Thanks for the advice and I have been trying to think of what I will need the first week or so. Can you advise of anything else beside pudding? I think I am going to need a lot of support during this process I appreciate your comment... Thank You,

Thanks for the advice and I wasn't aware of the BM....I really hadn't thought about and haven't been told about it yet either. I am a very impatient person and I guess the hardest thing will be learning my limitations. Again thanks for the advice I appreciate it.

I am very excited and scared! I don't want to be a failure, but sometimes you can't help but let your mind wonder there. I have to stay positive and I will do great....I will definately let you know how it goes after surgery!! I had a friend just go through this and she is doing great...Had surgery on Wed and was back to work on Monday so I guess we'll see....

I can feel your pain. I am going through the same feeling right now. My surgery is scheduled for March 25. I just had a friend go through this at the beginning of Feb and she is doing good. She's lost 17 pounds in 4 weeks. The pain she experienced was no that bad she had the surgery on a Wed and was back to work on Monday. Let's keep in touch and I will let you know when I have my surgery what I think about the pain. Good luck and don't worry you will do fine. Just set your mind to positive and stay there and you will do great!

My insurance took about 1 week to approve. Now I am waiting on a surgery date. So Excited can't wait to have it done and become a different person. :tt1:

I had my first appointment on Thurs. I have a appointment for some test in a few weeks. Then it is just waiting for insurance approval. Hope it all goes smoothly!! Excited:smile2:
