  1. ps. If it helps, I would prefer leather boots just below the knee in black with a small or no heel. Similar to pic attached.
  2. Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone from the US could give me advice on any shoe stores/department stores that sell boots that are wider than average around the calf area? In Australia I find that boots never zip up over my hefty legs. I'm going to the US (Indianapolis and NYC) in two weeks and think I will need some boots given the recent snow. I think it might be cheaper to buy them in the US than in Australia, but I don't know where to start. Any help would be much appreciated!
  3. I am on day 6 of my three-week pre op diet. I have Optifast shakes/bars to replace three meals a day, plus 2 cups of green non-starchy veggies and two pieces of fruit per day. Many surgeons in Aus do not allow even the two pieces of fruit, so I'm pretty lucky! The first few days were HORRENDOUS, but my body seems to be a bit more used to it now so I feel okay. Bored to tears by the shakes and bars, but okay  Good luck to everyone on pre op diets... it will all be over soon (well, that's what I keep telling myself!)
  4. Hi tealeaves, I'm also getting banded on Jan 22. Woohoo! So excited too, but getting a little nervous as it gets closer...
  5. Hello everyone. I hope you don't mind if I join in the chatting! I'm being banded on January 22 by Dr Andrew Smith at the Avenue in Melbourne, Australia. He has me on three weeks of liquid diet (Optifast), which I am struggling with, but just trying to suck it up and deal with it - I will get there! Starting to get a bit nervous about the op now - I guess it's normal to feel this way! Anyway, congrats to all those already banded, and commiserations to those on liquid diets :smile2: Looking forward to sharing this journey together!
