  1. Hi - Dr. de la Garza did my lap band surgery on 9/1. I can say honestly that he was very good - reassuring, answered all my questions, and just had a great bedside manner... The hospital and hotel suites, recovery suites, etc., were like being in a hotel - complete with concierge like services...I can say, though, that in the van going to the hospital that it looked like we drove through the poorer side of town...and I was seriously questioning what the he&* I was doing there...but once I arrived, everything went really well. Email me if you like and I'll answer any questions specifically....
