Hello, I was banded 3/18/09 but have just joined the website. I have been to the website numerous times looking for answers to my questions and it has been very helpful. I finally decided to join so I could ask questions and chat with fellow labbandsters. I look forward to meeting and chating with everyone.

Mizkelly, Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I was banded 3/18/09 and am loving it! I know you will too! The preop diet is sucky but it will be over before you know it! Just think of the weight you will lose on your preop diet to get your jumpstarted on your new journey!! I look forward to hearing about your new journey.

HI, I am new here to just signed up last night, although I have been to the site several times looking for answers to my questions. I had my lapband surgery 3/18/09 and would do it over again in a heartbeat. I was so unhappy,unhealthy and fat. I was 323 pounds and I am 5'5. I am now at 242 and feel like a new person!! I feel this was most definately the right choice for me! I am a mother of 2 sons and now I can do so much with them. I feel like I am living again for the first time in a long time. Noone can make this decision for you, but I am glad you have a supportive husband because that is so important. My husband was so scared at first and didn't want me to have the surgery and I had to research it and convince him it was safe. He finally came around and now he is glad I had it done and is so supportive. It is a decision that is different for everyone but I am so glad I did it and I don't have any problems or complications. I do get sick on occasion but it is when I eat too fast and don't chew,chew,chew (that is a must). I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi, I am new to the website I have been on the website reading blogs and looking for answers to my questions. I am very pleased with the answers. I am also a patient of Dr Lusco and he is Wonderful!!! I can't say enough great things about him! I am 9months post op and doing great!! He has been awsome through the whole process!
