  1. I was banded 12/16 as well and have lost 23lbs. I'm not feeling real restricted either, but I'm definietly eating less than I was before banding. 12 of the 23lbs were lost during the 2 weeks of liquid pre op diet. My first fill is Jan 26th...looking forward to more restriction. Be encouraged and keep up the good work!
  2. I actually ran into the same problem. My first insurance company would not cover the cost, said my BMI wasn't high enough. I changed companies and gained 10lbs during my honeymoon (though it wasn't intentional, I wasn't being careful either!). I went back to the Dr a few months later and was approved. Had surgery 2 weeks ago...
