  1. I'm at my 5th week today. I feel nausea off and on sometimes. In the past 3 or 4 days it has gotten worse, today especially. Today I felt if I move I'd be sick. My of my nausea starts as soon as I get up in the morning. I'm on pureed foods, but on Christmas Day and the next day I ate a few things without pureeing it, I chewed it up really good. I've been reading on some post even if you can eat differently than you are suppose to, don't do it, because it can cause problems later. I also, accidently swallowed gum a few days ago. I'm wondering if these things are causing me problems now. I've got a call into the nurse right now, but I'm waiting on them to call back now.
  2. I accidently swallowed a piece of gum yesterday. I was scared after it happened, I realized it may get stuck. I am 4 and a half weeks post-op. So far everything seems ok. It was Christmas Day, so I called ask a nurse. She said if I felt fine and didn't get sick, everything should be ok. I wasn't told as far as I know not to chew gum, but I've learned my lesson now.
