  3. Hi! I have a 4 year old. I found out with her fairly early I had gestational diabetes, before 20 weeks. I did really well with diet. I was monitored closely and had a beautiful healthy normal weight baby girl. I was banded April 29, 10. I was originally scheduled for March 3, 2010. I found out I was pregnant 3 days before surgery. I had been eating like a crazy person, everyday was a like the last day I was ever going to eat. I know that is not right but that is the truth. I also had extremely high BP. I went to the OB early and was started on insulin right away and new BP meds for pregnancy. Everything was going well. I went to have 10 week ultrasound and found that I had miscarried. I am not telling you this to scare you. I just wish I would have not googled everything online about gestational diabetes. It really scared the hell out of me and stressed me out. Everyone and every pregnancy is different. Since then I have meant 2 women who were GD and had insulin pumps they had healthy babies. I had it before and had a healthy baby. While I am sad that this pregnancy did not make it, I will not give up. I wish you all the best.
  4. That is wonderful! You look great as well!
  5. Hey there I was banded a week ago. I am feeling really well. I did have horrible gas pains along with nausea and left shoulder pain. I promise it gets better. I remember thinking to myself for a split second that I could not believe I did this (getting the band) on purpose. It will get better. Keep your eye on the prize!!!
  6. I had surgery 4-29 and mine lasted until 2 days ago! It was the worst part for me! I did the chewable gas x, walked around as much as possible and used a heating pad. These things all seemed to help. I woke up a few days ago and no L shoulder pain. I am really starting to feel like a human again! lol It will pass soon, hang in there! Good luck!
  7. Hello All! Thank you for posting this. I had surgery on Thursday and feel exactly like that. Glad to know I am not the only one. Good luck to everyone and your future health.
  8. Hello! Everyone! I just had surgery Thursday! I had a lot of the feelings you all had (doubts & fears) I am guessing this is completely normal. I did finally come to the conclusion that I truly had tried everything to lose weight prior to this! As scared as I was I needed to remember this was for my health. This was and is the best choice I have made. I am ready to feel and look better! Bring it on!!!
  9. CONGRATS!!! That is great I was approved yesterday as well. Surgery date is March 3! I have been in this whole process since last Nov. It seemed to be dragging along, but now BAM it is in a week!! I wish you luck!!
