  1. Ive never really had any type of major surgery before, just little things, so this will be huge for me. Im really nervous about the pain after the surgery...whats it like? how intense is it? Im just trying to prepare myself so i wont be shocked when the day comes!
  2. I dont know about you, but im SICK of waiting for insurance to finally approve for my surgery! its been a year since the process began, ive done everything they have asked me to do and more. I got 6 doctors notes from doctors telling why i MUST have this surgery to live because my blood pressure is deadly high. Ive been on all the diets and weightloss programs. I took the mental health exam and passed it with flying colors and even that doctor gave a referel. Now i just sit here waiting...and i called the insurance company last week and they said they would have to take it to a board of people because im so young. Who cares that im so young...if i dont get this surgery im going to die...why cant they just approve me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im very fed up and sick of waiting, and sick of being sick and fat. Is there anyone close to my age that had this problem or is going through it now? Im only 18....
  3. I recently got it for christmas, and ive been playing around with it and it actually does get my heart rate up! i was just wondering if anyone else has it and if anyone has actually seen real results?
  4. thank you guys your information helped to ease my mind a ton! and no i deff. dont smoke, dont need that going aginst my health aswell! i think i would rather risk the saggy skin and be healthy anyways, so im up for the challenge!
  5. Im only 18 years old, currently 200 pounds and my goal is 130. Im hoping to be banded at the end of Jan.Im so afraid that after surgery and after losing weight im going to have really ugly saggy skin, i know i could never pay for liposuction its taken FOREVER for my insurance company to even approve lapband! has anyone else had alot of problems with sagging skin? Because im so young do you think it could maybe go back into place?:smile2:
  6. Im scared of this very same thing! im getting banded at the end of jan. and so afraid im not going to lose the weight! my mom got the surgery two years ago and has done fantastic, but its not just an easy fix like some of the other people have said on these posts, you have to work really hard at it! i know you can do it and i know you will do wonderfully, just keep your head up and keep working hard!
