Hello Everyone, Has anyone had the procedure performed @ Darnall? I know and have chatted with a few people who are in the area but no one has had the procedure @ the hospital. I just completed all the appointments at Scott & White in Temple, TX but as we all know TRICARE ISN'T COVERING THE VSG SURGERY (SHAME ON THEM)! And now i'm left out in the cold. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you all.

HEY FRIENDS, i'VE TOTALLY GIVEN UP ON INSURANCE AND I DON'T WANT TO WAIT ON LIST @ DARNALL. SO IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO KNOWS OF AN AFFORDABLE GOOD SURGEON OR SOMEONE I COULD TALK TO ABOUT GETTING VSG AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO MY HOME. SAN ANTONIO IS ABOUT 2 HRS AWAY BUT HUBBY LEAVING IN FEB. & i NEED TO BE CLOSER TO HOME. ALSO WHAT ABOUT THE PRICE OF VSG HERE IN CENTRAL TX, IS IT COSTLY? I'VE BEEN TO SO MANY APPTS STARTING IN 2009 AND SCOTT & WHITE FINALLY CALLED ME WITH SURGERY DATE FOR NOV. BUT IT WAS FOR THE LAP BAND. SO I CANCELLED. BUT I WONDER IF I COULD SELF PAY THERE SINCE I'VE ALREADY GOT HISTORY WITH THEM. SORRY I KNOW I'M ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH ALL THESE QUESTIONS BUT I'M FEELING OUT OF CONTROL AND READY TO GET THINGS ROLLING AGAIN. HELP SOMEBODY, ANYBODY.

i dont work, can my husband use his std to stay home to help me recover? Does anyone know?

Cleosan and all true believers, If you wouldn't mind please pray for me. I too have struggled with this decision and overcame the guilt and now find out after a year and changing my mind from Lb to vsg, my insurance will not cover civilian drs. Drs office called me two weeks ago and gave me a date, but after telling the nurse I wanted the vsg instead of Lapband, she told me tricare will not pay for it and tried to encourage me to get Lb, to make a long story short, I ended up cancelling the surgery ! I'm still praying for supernatural favor and I believe I will be joining you all on the other side of the vsg surgery some day real soon! Yes He is! Haven't gotten my approval yet, but when I went to the seminar, I had no idea where I was going so I prayed for some help and sure enough a woman was coming in my direction. I told her I had no idea where I was going and she told me I was going in the right direction. When I told her where I was trying to go, I asked her was she trying to get the band also, and she said she worked for the hospital that performs the surgery. So I said if I follow you I wont get lost! So God sent some help and not only that but after the seminar, she said she was going to bump my appt up:smile:! So yay God!
