  2. I don't do any extremely heavy lifting, just normal stuff like groceries and school books. I don't do much for exercise except walking/jogging & stretching. It isn't painful having my port flipped, it just feels weird. Thanks for the insight you give!
  3. I am a 13 months post-op; my port flipped about 5 months after my surgery and I just found out that it has flipped AGAIN! Has anyone else had this? Did they figure out what was making it happen? I have been careful with what I eat; so I don't vomit... (before and after my flips) . My PA and surgeon have never seen a port flip more than once and are at a loss why it has flipped again. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
  4. I was told I couldn't use a straw... do you have problems with getting too much air ingested while you drink? I usually drink too fast drinking directly from a glass - just curious how the straw works for you.
  5. I was banded on 1/26 and I lost about 20 pounds since the surgery. The last couple weeks I have plateaued, then have gained 2 pounds. I was warned that this would most likely happen in the time between my surgery healing and my first fill. I am told it completely normal and that I should start losing again once I have my first fill.
  6. My docs said to crack open the tablet and take the granules inside it, they also said not to chew any of it at all... I haven't had the courage to try it yet (afraid of the side effects). Good luck!
  7. I usually cover my plate with my napkin when I am finished; otherwise I will constantly pick at my food. I will have to try having half of my dish boxed while I order - great idea!
  8. I was banded on 1/26 and am constantly burping - which I am okay with right now. Twice now I have had so much pressure in my stomach that it felt like I was going to vomit - I actually ran to the bathroom both times and heaved up huge amounts of air. Is this normal? I had my first one in the middle of the night and my second one just before bed. Is this normal? Should I worry about my band slipping? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
