  1. I didn't have a Pre-Op diet either. Just no food past midnight prior to surgery and no Liquid after 6:00am on day of surgery. ( my surgery was at 11:00am) So I woke up to a BIG cup of coffee. It was great. Good luck!!!!
  2. Wow! Thanks for all the responses!! I went with malibu & pinnapple, and then a vodka & cranberry.... and 1 shot of Jack! ( gotta have me some Jack anytime i drink...i LOVE it!) I agree with the Vitamin waters as mixers...super De-lish!
  3. Going out tomorrow night and curious what cocktails you all order. I know soda mixed drinks are a no-no as is beer. So tell me some of your favorites!
  4. I have UHC. It was a very simple process. Took about 10 days to get my approval once everything was submitted. I didn't have to take any health/nutriton classes. I had my very first consult with the lapband doctor on Sept 26, 2009 and had surgery November 1,2009. I only had to submit a referral from my primary MD because my BMI was lower than the "required" 40. Hope all goes well for both of you
  5. Thanks Emjay. I'm exactly like you were. I'm barely able to drink anything and as far as eating goes its been a few small chunks of watermelon so far for today only. I did weigh myself and it says i've lost 6 pounds since Thursday! I have an appt. at 3 for a slight unfill. Thanks for replying.
  6. Thanks for the quick reply! I just started solids yesterday. My Dr. advises Liquids for 2 days, mushies the next 2, and then solids after. I followed that 100%. I think I'm gonna make that appt for my unfill. Thanks again!
  7. So last thursday I had a pretty small fill (1/2 cc) which brings me up to 7.5cc's in a 10cc band. Prior to my last fill I felt no restriction at all. Now I have restriction- BIG TIME. I'm only able to eat very little ( i'm talking like just a few smalls bites) Feels like the food is just sitting in my throat. I'm not drinking when i eat at all, but when I do have something to drink it usually results in me vomiting. I'm pretty sure I need a very small "unfill" but I'm curious as to what some of you may think? Any one have the same type of problem. Thanks a lot fellow bandsters
  8. Neither one looks infected. Looks like they're healing normally. Just my opinion though
  9. I had sushi today for lunch....only problem was the rice is so filling for me that after 2 spicy tuna pieces and 1 small gyoza I was full. It was yummy
  10. I've had this pain happen too, however not very often. Let me know what the Doctor says... I'm curious what it could be. Good luck :w00t:
  11. I left with 4cc's in my band too! When I asked my Dr. about this he said that there is a small percentage of people that leave with 3cc's or more. He also said that many of these "3cc's and up" people don't carry their weight in or around their stomach region. I was banded on Nov 01, 2009 (37 BMI) and I'm at 7.5 cc's right now, in a 10cc band....just starting to feel restriction. Good Luck on your Journey!
  12. I have! They're awesome! I also get my fills at the Covina location....there is always a little bit of a wait but totally worth it. Dr. T is WONDERFUL!
  13. I had surgery on November 01, 2009. My BMI was 37. I was approved almost instantly from my insurance....just needed a referral letter from my pcp along with my weight history. As of today, I'm down about 41 pounds....and feeling AWESOME! Good luck to you
  14. Hey all! Got banded Nov 2, 2009! Went to my follow up this morning and I'm down 19 Lbs! I was shocked! The doc put me on the mushy stage and I'm looking forward to something a bit more satisfying! Starting weight was 238...current is 219 and my goal is around 130. I'm loving it!
