I have a BMR of 39, but have knee pains, back pain, heel pains, and shortness of breath with exertion.  I was told about Lap Band about 3 months ago by someone who's husband had just had it.  I was interested, but not totally committed.  Then I saw someone I hadn't seen in a couple of years.  I didn't even recognize him.  He had had bariatric surgery (Roux-en-Y), and looked great.  That did it for me.  That afternoon I contacted the people at Beliteweight.com, and scheduled surgery for 4 (FOUR) days later.  Surgery was 3 days ago.  I am having pain in the left side and back, but figure that is due to the dissection through the muscle in getting into the abdomen.  I fully expect it to go away.  I'm on clear liquids, but excited about the timetable of advancing the diet.
