I had my surgery 02/26/2008.  My highest weight has been 344 lbs, however prior to going to surgery I was about 321 lbs.  As of today 11/04/2009 I have lost 56 lbs.  However I have had a couple of slips and instances where my band had to be deflated.  I have also developed some eating habits that are not conducive to the band.  However my doctor continues to work with me and I am back on track.  I believe the band was the right decision for me and it has been successful.  I know I could not have lost this weight on my own without the assistance of the band.  I am on my weight loss journey and I hope to lose another 30 lbs before my two year anniversary in February 2009.
