  1. Hi, Newbie: I am a "Newbie" also--well, sort of. I started this journey 3X before. I had other health problems --like I couldn't walk because of two very arthritic knees and was in a lot of pain daily. I think this is what took my focus priority and I couldn't focus on the Lap Band surgery journey the way I needed to. When I went to the first meeting I was told there and by my dr. that after the lap-band you cannot take any NSAIDS (non-narcotic pain releivers) after the band surgery. Well, I couldn't get through a day without my NSAIDS. So I dropped out---since then I have had my two knees replaced and am now ready to explore this new phasae in my life. I am 64, have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I am about 340lb. 5'5". Write to me and tell me a little about you---I haven't made my new appointment yet---as I need to see a doctor about a breathing problem (I have sleep apnea)---but after that I plan to call. Let me know how your meeting went. Hugs, Bobbi
