  1. walk walk and then walk some more. I am 6 weeks post op and experienced the same pains. Start taking some laxatives also. The pains are caused from the air trapped in your abdomen from the surgery. Relief will come soon..the first week was the worst.
  2. My surgeon suggests Chike. I chose the vanilla but it comes in several flavors. It really didn't taste all that good to me so here is my solution: In a blender: pour 1 cup milk ( I use 2% or lower) 1/2 c ice 1/4 cup low fat, no sugar added frozen chocolate yogurt 2 scoops of vanilla Chike mix and drink.... this cuts the strong vanilla taste while not adding alot of extra calories and without adding sugar!
  3. I'm about 6 weeks post op and suffered much the same. My doctors advice: walk, walk and then walk some more. It helps release all the air that is trapped in your abdomen from the surgery.
