I got my lapband done 10/7/09, and I did not have a tube. I was nervous about that too, and actually asked before my surgery. I did have an oxygen mask, but no tube.:thumbup:

I was banded Oct 7 in Dallas. Everything is going great! I had my first fill on 11/4.

I got the same form letter when was approved. I checked, and this was the approval letter. My surgery was scheduled for 12 days from the date the approval was issued. I am one month post op now, and am doing well. I just had my first fill with the True Results after care center here in Richardson. Congrats on your approval, and Good Luck on your journey!:wink2:

I also went through True Results in Richardson and have BCBS of IL, and once my info was submitted to them for approval, it only took 1 week to get the approval. I had my surgery on 10/7 and everything has gone smoothly. I had my first fill at the TR aftercare last Wednesday, and it didn't hurt at all. It only took about 30 minutes from the time I arrived at the office, until I was walking out to my car. Good Luck to you, and keep us posted on your journey! :w00t:
