Where do I begin? I had the original band installed Sept. 2001 in Ocean Springs MS by Dr. Clark Warden. I had lost 130 lbs. in the six years I had it with only three adjustments. The "old" band was (in my opinion) over filled by Dr. Scott Robbins (Dothan, AL) and had to be replaced on Apr. 2009. The second surgery didn't feel any better than the first. As a matter of fact, it was more painful because of the time required to pull out the old "stuff" and install the replacement parts. I'm getting used to the new band after gaining about 30 lbs. with no band / limited restriction. This new band is definetely different than the old style. I am fully "filled" at 12cc's and still am able to eat (in my opinion) too much. Dr. Klepper (Bonifay, FL) tells me it's up to me and my mental ability to stop eating too much now. Why in the heck did I have this surgery again if I have to rely on my "mental" parts to limit what I eat? Hmmm....I'm a team player and I'll do this "mental"thing with the help of feeling full sooner. This is a long journey folks.
